Stewart, Terri, Julie, Izzy, and Elaine with Tehachapi's Apple Shed restaurant in the background. Terri helped paint the mural you see. There are lots of murals depicting Tehachapi's history around town, and Terri worked on most of them. In addition she designed and painted signs for many of the town's businesses.
A rare reunion of siblings: it was the first get-together for William, Stewart, and Terri in over 10 years.
Brothers.

Grape vines in the San Joaquin valley which is just over the mountain from Tehachapi to the north.
We went to dinner at our cousin Bobbi's house, perched at 5500 feet on a nearby mountaintop.
More Bobbi - the best vegetarian cook in all the land!
Bobbi and her husband Marty.
Dad took us to a gem and mineral show in Bakersfield. The highlight for Elaine was watching Dean Westman, a local silversmith, demonstrate his techniques.
Dean is preparing to solder a bezel to a backing.
Elaine is placing an order with Dean for a custom-made ring. She bought a chrysocolla cabachon at the show for him to set in a simple bezel.
